THE ARC PROJECT

About The ARC Project

The ARC Project provides free surf and water safety camps for at-risk youth and communities that typically don’t have the opportunity to go the beach. At ARC Surf Camp youth will have the opportunity to go surfing and stand-up paddle boarding, to learn lifesaving water safety skills, to be physically active while enjoying the outdoors, and to hear about the hope of Christ! Additionally, ARC provides a positive shared experience for people from different communities throughout West Michigan, bringing together at-risk youth, their organizational leadership, and caring volunteers in a safe, encouraging, and caring environment. ARC launched its first camp with about 25 youth on the ocean in 2009. Since then, ARC has seen about 5,000 participating youth and volunteers many visiting the beach for the very first time!
